Specialist body waxing for men & women
Before & After Care
Intimate Waxing:
It might feel a bit awkward stripping off in front of a
stranger but I am a professional and have seen it all
before.
Some slight redness and small bumps are perfectly
normal temporary reactions, especially after your
first wax so please don't panic. These symptoms
usually subside within 24 - 48 hours of your
treatment.
You should keep the waxed area clean, and avoid
heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours.
This means:
•
No hot baths or showers (lukewarm is fine);
•
No sauna's or steam treatments;
•
No tanning - (sunbathing, sunbeds or fake
tans);
•
Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools;
•
Avoid scratching or touching the treated area;
•
Wear clean, loose fitting clothes
Maintenance:
Do not apply any deodorants, body sprays, make-
up, perfume or lotions to the waxed area, other
than those products recommended by your
therapist for 24 - 48 hours. To soothe and protect
the skin, apply an antiseptic cream regularly for 3
days. Always wash your hands before applying any
product. Use a sunblock on exposed areas of skin.
It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on
a growth cycle that gives the best results. Please do
not shave, tweeze or use hair removal creams
between appointments. To maintain your smooth
appearance waxing regularly every 4 - 6 weeks is
recommended.
To prevent ingrown hairs:
Starting a few days after your appointment, gently
ex foliate the skin up to 3 times a week using a body
mitt, brush or scrub. Moisturise the area every day
to keep skin supple and help new hairs to grow
through easily.
Before your wax
Important - Step away from the razor! Please do NOT
shave in between appointments.
This will impact on the result and if your hair is too short I
will not be able to wax it. As a rule of thumb please allow
3 weeks hair growth (or half a centimetre).
Please ensure that you do not :
•
Use any chemical exfoliates 48 hours before
treatment;
•
No sunbathing or sunbeds for 24 hours before
treatment;
•
Use deodorant on the areas that you are getting
waxed;
•
No oils, body lotions or moisturisers to be applied
on the day of treatment;
•
No sunbathing or sunbeds for 24 - 48 hours before
treatment.
•
Do gently exfoliate the skin a few days before
treatment but not on the day of treatment.
Finally and perhaps most importantly relax. Take a
deep breath. You're in safe hands
This is just a waxing treatment, you will experience
minimal discomfort due to the high quality waxes that I
use and of course my specialist expertise
